Services that come to you — how mobile bookings work

· 4 min read

Not every appointment means going somewhere. On KOKSIN, some partners come to you: cleaners, laundry pickup, handymen, pest control, pet groomers — and a few beauty and massage partners who work at your address. Here is how mobile bookings work, and how to be ready when the doorbell rings. The booking works the same as any other — the only difference is who travels.

Which services come to you

Home services are the obvious ones: house cleaning, laundry pickup and delivery, handyman repairs, and pest control are jobs that only make sense at your address. Pet grooming often travels too — plenty of pets are calmer at home than after a ride across town.

Beauty and wellness are more mixed. Some makeup artists, hair stylists, and massage partners offer at-home visits; most work at their own venue; some offer online sessions instead. A partner's profile shows which of these applies, so you always know where the appointment happens before you book. A detailer working in your building's parking spot and a trainer streaming a session to your living room are both, in their own way, services that come to you.

How service areas work

A mobile partner sets a base location and a service radius — the distance they are willing to travel. If your address falls inside that radius, you can book them; if it doesn't, they won't be offered for your address. You never have to work the geometry out yourself — the address you enter does the checking.

That is why two friends in different districts can see slightly different cleaners. The radius protects you as much as the partner: nobody wants a ninety-minute ride built into their appointment time. A partner who spends the whole afternoon in traffic has less of it left for the actual work.

Booking one

The flow is the same as any KOKSIN booking, plus your address. Pick the service, add where you are, choose a slot, and confirm. If the partner takes a deposit — a fixed amount or a percentage — the exact figure is shown before you confirm, and it is usually held rather than charged. The visit starts at the time you booked — at your address instead of theirs.

Payments don't change either: ABA PayWay, KHQR from any Cambodian bank app, or cash where the partner accepts it. Automatic reminders arrive before the visit, exactly as they would for a booking at a venue. If plans change, the partner's cancellation policy applies as usual — it is shown before you confirm.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Sort out parking and access — a gate code, a building pass, or somewhere to leave a motorbike saves the first ten minutes.
  • Secure your pets, unless the visit is for them. Cleaners and repair people work faster without a curious dog supervising.
  • Clear the working space — the corner to be cleaned, the sink to be fixed, the spot where a massage table will stand.
  • Make sure someone is home at the start time, with a phone reachable in case the partner needs directions to your door.
